My friend and I had a wonderful time at Chinzanso Tokyo on weekend afternoon.
We had their Garden Afternoon Tea.
We had some kinds of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and 3 kinds of their original jams and a wide variety of sweets on an afternoon tea stand.
We were able to enjoy to have the beautiful sweets and their selection of tea at very cozy special room.
I went to half-day trip to Gotemba Premium Outlet Mall in Shizuoka.
We were hungry, and dropped into the branch of a cafe that we knew well in Tokyo- the head shop of WeST PArK CaFE is at Yoyogi-Uehara, Shibuya-ku.
However I believe their menus are different from Tokyo’s. They don’t serve hot dogs in Tokyo, but Gotemba branch “hires” huge hot-dog-man figure.
We shared a hot dog (the wait staff asked to us if we’d like to cut it into half to share. So kind!) and Chinese chicken salad.

J.S. BURGERS CAFE Shinjuku is on the 3rd floor of the Journal Standard building.
I was very hungry, got avocado burger set with extra quattro (melted 4 kind of) cheese.
It was weekday daytime, I could spend cozy time at the cafe… On weekend, here’s always crowded!
My friend took me a very interesting bakery shop & restaurant at Tsukuba in Ibaraki pref.
We had the New England clam chowder at the restaurant for lunch. We were able to have their breads as much as we want. Everything was good. We enjoyed the wonderful foods with a nice atmosphere.
We didn’t forget to buy some bakeries and pastries at the bakery shop next door on the way home.
I went to the shaved ice shop Himitsu Do in Yanaka.
For their shaved ice, they use the traditional Japanese ice chipper.
The ice shaved by this machine has a very soft and fluffy texture.
Their shaved ice flavors vary depending on the season.
This shaved ice shop is open all year round, not just in the summer,
creating unique shaved ice by making sauce from fruits that are in season.
They have Orange Yogurt and Powdered Soy Bean Cherry flavors, and the one I ate was Melon flavored.
Try any of the fresh fruit flavors, they are very delicious.
